When you need to combine contract annexes, scanned papers or several reports into one PDF, there's no need to overcomplicate it. Here's how to merge entirely in your browser, without signup or installation.
Why "on-device" merging matters
Most online tools upload your file to their servers. On PDF Platform, merging runs entirely in your browser (on your device) — your files are never sent to the internet. That means both privacy and speed: no upload wait, instant results.
Merge step by step
- Add your PDFs: Drag and drop or select multiple PDFs into the merge tool. Up to 80 MB, no limit on the number of files.
- Set the order: Reorder files with the up/down arrows; the document merges in this order.
- Merge and download: Click "Merge"; a single PDF is prepared instantly and saved to your chosen location.

Handy tips
- To turn images (JPG/PNG) into a PDF, use the "Image → PDF" tool.
- To keep only certain pages, split them first with the "Split" tool.
- Because it runs on your device, it works even offline.
To merge a password-protected PDF, remove the password first with the "Unlock PDF" tool.
Getting the order right before you merge
The most common problem with merging is not technical, it is ordering. File names sort alphabetically on a computer, and that rarely matches the document's logical order: «annex-10» comes before «annex-2» because sorting looks at characters, not numbers. Checking the order by eye after adding the files is faster than rebuilding the merged document.
- Number annexes as 01, 02, 10 so sorting works correctly.
- Put the cover or letter first, and annexes in the order the contract refers to them.
- If the front and back of a document are separate files, make sure the sides line up.
- Glancing at the first page of each file prevents adding the wrong one.
Useful steps after merging
A newly merged document is often not ready to send as is. A few page numbers, some compression or a tidied cover noticeably change how the document is received.
- Add page numbers so the recipient can see the annexes arrived complete.
- Compress if it is large; merged scans easily exceed email limits.
- Delete unnecessary blank pages, especially scanned reverse sides.
- If the document holds sensitive information, remove it permanently before sending.
Why it can merge without uploading
Merging pages does not require reprocessing the content; page objects are simply rearranged into one file. That is work a browser can do on its own. Because no server is involved, there is nothing to meter: no daily allowance, no hourly cap, no account. Jobs like Word conversion or OCR genuinely need computation, so they run on a server — that is the difference.
Pages of different sizes and orientations
Merged files may use different page sizes; adding a landscape table to an A4 contract leaves a document with mixed dimensions. That is not an error and causes no problem on screen, but a printer may scale each page differently. If printing matters, bringing pages to the same orientation before merging gives a tidier result.
