How do I delete and change existing text in a PDF?
Upload the PDF and the editor opens full-screen. With 'Replace Text', draw a box over the text you want to change — it's captured, then type the new text (leave empty to delete). Click 'Done' → 'Prepare PDF' → download.
Is the text truly deleted or just covered?
Truly deleted. Using PyMuPDF redaction, the text in the selected area is removed from the PDF (not covered), and new text is written in its place.
Is my file safe?
Yes. For real text editing the file is processed on our secure server and deleted right after — never stored. (Tools such as merge, split, crop, sign, annotate, scan and OCR do run entirely on your device.)
Can I add new text, images, or pages?
Yes. Besides changing existing text, you can add new text boxes and images, then download your edit as a PDF.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
You get the best results on PDFs with a text layer; for scanned documents, run OCR first to create the text.
